Nikolai Fuchs, born 1963, grew up in the Ruhr area, graduated from an agricultural education in Lübeck and studied agricultural sciences with emphasis on conservation in Bonn. After conducting activities in the nature center Eifel he spent seven years as a consultant and manager in the Demeter Association on State and federal level work. From 2001 to 2010 he headed the Agricultural Section at the Goetheanum in Switzerland and, in parallel, the Office of Demeter International in Brussels. Since 2010 he is responsible for the Nexus Foundation in Geneva. He is also advisory organizations and scientific foundations. His travels, mainly in Europe but also in all other parts of the world have sharpened his eye for the environment and social relations. In numerous publications and lectures he has for many years course for a sustainable future.
